While there are many people and companies that work in the metal working industry, we at Loken Forge take pride in knowing that the work we produce is all hand forged by blacksmiths. Blacksmithing is a trade by which the shape or texture of the metal is manipulated by the addition of heat and hand tools. 95% of so called wrought iron has been worked cold by an automated machine. Genuine wrought iron hasnt even been produced in the United States since 1969. Most iron working businesses buy parts and pieces from various catalogs, then weld everything together to give the piece the wrought iron look. Here at Loken Forge we forge every piece by hand, using techniques thousands of years old, to achieve aesthetically pleasing, exciting, and original pieces of fine art.
